Tonight, a wild President Cena met with the MWF Board of Directors and it was decided that due to a serious foot and ankle injury, MWF Heavyweight Champion Todd Hanson would be stripped of the championship effective Saturday, June 27th at 11:59PM.  Hanson was injured in March 2008 in the parking lot of a gym, with the MWF "stalker" Dylan Kage taking credit for the attack.

At MWF NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS the following afternoon, there will be a championship competition to crown a new MWF Heavyweight Champions.  12 athletes will compete in six singles matches.  The winners of the six matches will then compete in a 6-Pack All-Star Challenge match with no time limit, no DQ and no CO with sudden death rules - the first superstar to score a pin becomes the fourth champion in MWF history.

Todd Hanson is expected to appear in Melrose live to surrender the championship belt.  John Bradshaw Layfield had been pushing for "Slyck" Wagner Brown to receive a championship match against Hanson June 28th knowing full well that Hanson was far from 100%, almost guaranteeing a new champion.  "Slyck" will have no such match June 28th, all 12 athletes will have the same chance to capture the gold.

* * * UPDATED:  June 8th - 12:20AM

Tonight, President Cena announced two of the six qualifying matches for the 6-Pack All Star Challenge match that will determine the new Millennium Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion!  More matches announced next Sunday!

RICK FULLER -vs- "EXECUTIONER" BRIAN MILONAS (w/ Vito Carluccio)
Rick Fuller's war with Ox Baker's evil Army has been on-going for close to two year.  Fuller and Milonas have tore the house down (literally) in both MA and NH.  At NOC June 28th, the victor will be one step closer to the championship!

"STRAIGHT EDGE" BRIAN FURY -vs- "FUTURE LEGEND" LUKE ROBINSON
MWF Television Champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury challenged "Future Legend" Luke Robinson of JBL's Uprising in another one-on-one qualifier.  This will be a non-title match - the MWF Television Title is not up for grabs in this one.  After Fury's huge win over "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, Slyck Wagner Brown and "Hurricane" John Walters at SOUL SURVIVOR V last November, is he primed to take home the biggest prize in New England wrestling?  Robinson has impressed all and has the backing of John Bradshaw Layfield, which is dangerous for every and any opponent.

ANTONIO THOMAS -vs- "SLYCK" WAGNER BROWN
In one of the most anticipated matches of the evening, "Slyck" Wagner Brown of JBL's Uprising will take on former WWE superstar Antonio Thomas.  In limited competition here in the MWF, Thomas is undefeated.  Slyck has done it all in the northeast over the past year - except with an MWF Championship.  Is JBL's backing enough for Slyck to take the next step or will it be Antonio's night to shine and advance to the 6-Pack All Star Challenge?

BEAU DOUGLAS (w/ Bull Montana) -vs- MAX BAUER (w/ Vito Carluccio)
MWF Tag Team Champion Beau Douglas competes in singles action June 28th when he faces Max Bauer of Ox Baker's evil Army.  Will managers Bull Montana and Vito Carluccio play a role in this match??  Douglas is a four time MWF Tag Team Champion but has yet to taste singles success at this level.  The monsterous Max Bauer has dominated since his MWF debut last summer, and is looking to make a huge impact at NOC.

"DIE HARD" EDDIE EDWARDS -vs- SCOTT REED
In another huge match fans throughout New England are buzzing about, Pro Wrestling NOAH superstar "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards challenges Scott Reed with the winner advancing into the All Star Challenge.  Edwards was the first MWF TV Champion in company history, holding the gold for over two and a half years with pride and honor.  Reed has been impressive since making his MWF debut in the fall of 2007, but is still looking for that big win to push him into elite status here in the MWF.  This will be Edwards first chance at the MWF Heavyweight Championship in close to three years, while Reed gets competes for a title for the first time.

??? -vs- "SUDDEN IMPACT" DYLAN KAGE
Former MWF Heavyweight Champion "Sudden Impact" Dylan Kage was set to challenge former ECW World Champion Justin Credible at NOC, but due to family obligations, Credible will not be appearing.  President Cena is opening up his Call To Action Campaign again - Mr. Cena is going to give hungry, young athletes the opportunity to earn their way into the competition.  Kage held the MWF Heavyweight Championship for nearly four years while being guided by the evil Paul Bearer, and was champion until Todd Hanson crushed him at SOUL SURVIVOR IV.  How ironic that it was Kage and Bearer behind the injury that is causing Hanson to forfeit the title and perhaps have his career ended.
