The Iron Sheik has returned to WWE Monday Night Raw the past two weeks for the first time in nine years! The Sheik joined fellow WWE Hall of Famer "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka on "Mr. McMahon Appreciation Night." On last nights program, he spoke with Jonathan Coachman about having his own talk show on Raw. Moments ago, the Sheik went on a tirade explaning the situation where he confronted the Ultimate Warrior at a autograph signing in NJ. The Sheik says that the video that's made the rounds on-line tells only a portion of the story. According to Sheiky Baby, his friend that arranged his appearance "marked out" and wanted to bring him to the Warrior so they could all have their picture taken. The Warrior wanted nothing to do with any of the other wrestlers in attendance, especially the Sheik. The Warrior claimed he was disgusted with the Sheik's comments about him on the Iron Sheik Studio Shoot Interview. The Sheik felt disrespected by the way Warrior was talking to him, so (as seen in the video), the Sheik took off his jackt and challenged the Warrior to a fight. The Sheik says that the Warrior was a p***y and had someone get the police. Realizing that he wouldn't have been in the situation if it wasn't for his friend that brought him over, he slapped him for marking out and telling him to go to the Warrior to begin with. The Sheik added that the Warrior is a "fag son of a bitch" that used to sell his body to men in Georgia, as reported in news outlets in 1991. He's also challenging Warrior to a shoot anytime, any place.
When the Sheik got back to his table after verbally dueling with the Warrior and the slap heard 'round NJ, Bruno Sammartino (who was seated next to the Sheik) wanted to know what happened. After hearing the aforementioned story, Bruno told the Sheik that he's "a man." If that wasn't enough excitement for one day, Hulk Hogan, another star the Sheik has no love lost for, was very friendly to the Sheik. Jimmy Hart was with him, and the Sheik said that Jimmy is "still a fag." Hogan and the Sheik posed for a couple of pictures together and Hogan is interested in having the Sheik on his reality show on VH-1. Has the bad blood between the two been put to rest? Only time will tell.

Last weekend, The Iron Sheik made several appearances in Ontario, Canada, including greeting fans at area Wal-Marts, a sports bar and an independent wrestling event. The Sheik says that of the $12,000 he was promised by his "nephews," he was only paid $1,000. On the way back to the airport, a drug dealing driver stole the $1,000 he did get. The Sheik was able to obtain the man's divers license and brought it to the police in the airport. The Sheik went into a panic attack and was taken to an area hospital where he remained for the next two days. Earlier tonight, the Sheik conducted a mind blowing interview with us for MWF Xtra with details that we can't even get into on this site that will hopefully be on-line sometime next week. At this time, The Sheik will be unable to make personal phone calls to his fans, but the service will be available the first week in April after his next scheduled appearance at Wrestling's Living Legends.

The Iron Sheik was hospitalized overnight last week after taping the follow up to his legendary Studio Shoot Interview, apparently due to alcohol poisoning. The Sheik claims that an MWF cameraman came to his hotel room to tape segments for the holidays along with him talking about his injuries. No one in the MWF Television Production department knew anything about this and it's still a mystery. Regardless, the Sheik was able to return home and spend a quiet holiday with his family.

It was quite a weekend for The Iron Sheik as he joined the WWE in going Hollywood! Saturday night, he was officially inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Hall Of Fame at the Universal Ampitheatre in Hollywood, CA. He was introduced by "Mene" Gene Okerlund and inducted by former rival and later tag team partner Sgt. Slaughter. The Sheik spoke of his days in Iran, his amatuer wrestling background, Verne Gagne offering him $100,000 to break Hulk Hogan's leg instead of dropping the WWF World Championship to him and more. Unlike the 2004 Hall of Fame inductions, there were time constraints this year. The Sheik's music played, but he went back to the podium to say a little more. His music was cued again but he joined "Mene" Gene at the podium once again to thank the fans for everything they've done for him. During the portion of the ceremony that aired on Spike TV, the fans started an "Iron Sheik, Iron Sheik" chant during the first commercial break, which led to them calling out other wrestlers in the crowd one by one. Fellow inductees were "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Nikolai Volkoff, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, Jimmy Hart, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. During Hogan's induction, interesting enough, neither the Sheik or Piper applauded or stood. The following day at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, The Iron Sheik joined his fellow inductees being introduced to the crowd prior to the Batista vs Triple H match at WrestleMania 21. This was the Sheik's fifth appearance at a WrestleMania (he wrestled at WrestleMania's I, II, III and X7).
We left the Sheik yesterday at LAX as he was headed home with his wife. We will have comments from the Sheik himself on the HOF later this week.

Askman.com released their list of professional wrestling's ten biggest stars of the 1980's. The Iron Sheik was listed at number four, trailing only Hulk Hogan, Randy "Macho Man" Savage and Andre The Giant. The Sheik was more popular and ahead of Ric Flair, The Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and King Kong Bundy.

This past Sunday night on WWE No Way Out, WWE's most recent pay-per-view offering, The Iron Sheik was featured in a WrestleMania Recall promo, showing the former WWF Heavyweight Champion winning the Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X7 in Houston, TX. WrestleMania XXI in April will be the Sheik's first WrestleMania appearance since the Houston battle royal.

WWE's newest Arab American superstar Muhammad Hassan sat down for an interview on WWE.com and had the following to say about the Iron Sheik: “I use the Camel Clutch to pay homage to the greatest Superstar in WWE history, the Iron Sheik. He’s a fellow Arab, and I respect everything he’s done in this business. I think he should have been inducted sooner – it’s definitely long overdue. But it’s good to see a man of Middle Eastern heritage finally make it into the WWE Hall of Fame. I’m actually looking forward to attending this ceremony to see him get inducted.”
