MWF SOUL SURVIVOR VII MAIN EVENT: SLYCK -VS- SHELTON

In a blockbuster announcement January 8th, President Cena dropped another bomb on MWF Heavyweight Champion "Slyck" Wagner Brown and the rest of JBL's Uprising by announcing that he would face "Mr. Money In The Bank" Shelton Benjamin at SOUL SURVIVOR VII Saturday, March 19th, at Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA as we continue our efforts to Keep The Kids Off The Streets!
Benjamin made his WWE debut in 2002 joining Team Angle and winning tag team gold with Charlie Haas on two occasions. Perhaps his biggest claim to fame was pinning Triple H on Monday Night Raw shortly after being drafted to Raw. His WWE IC Championship win over Chris Jericho at Taboo Tuesday led to the longest IC Title reign of the decade. At Great American Bash 2008, Benjamin defeated Matt Hardy to win the WWE US Championship before heading off to ECW, where he was in one of the main events of the Table, Ladders & Chairs 2009 PPV against Christian in a ladder match. Shelton may be best remembered for competing and stealing the show in five of the six Money In The Bank ladder matches in WrestleMania history.
Shortly after departing WWE in April 2010, President Cena and WWE US Champion Daniel Bryan convinced Shelton to join the MWF roster as Bryan's replacement after he was forced to remove himself from our 9th anniversary event due to WWE commitments. Shelton faced MWF TV Champion "Straight Edge" Brian Fury, "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards, "Hurricane" John Walters and "Million Dollar Investment" Tommaso Ciampa of JBL's Uprising in a 5-Way for the gold (available online now on the October MWF ULTRA program). Shelton appeared moments away from victory until Slyck got involved in the match and hammered Shelton with a standing leg drop. After the brawl that ensued, it was just a matter of time before a singles match was made between the two; what wasn't expected was that it would main event SSVII.
On February 12th at the Boston Garden, Shelton Benjamin, Slyck Wagner Brown and MWF President John Cena Sr. will take part in the SOUL SURVIVOR VII press conference and contract signing, as well as a Q&A with Shelton and an autograph/photo session.
